Why begin here?
Young children can begin with ukulele, learning chords, melody, steady beat, and coordinated fingers on an instrument that fits comfortably. Some later move toward guitar or bass; others happily keep ukulele as their instrument.
Older students and adults can begin directly with acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, or ukulele. Lessons can follow the music they love while still building reading, rhythm, technique, ear training, and the foundations that make independent playing possible.
