Why begin here?
Orange Music Studio has a long history of piano teaching built on close relationships among students, families, and teachers. We welcome young beginners, advancing musicians, adults returning after many years, and adults finally beginning the instrument they always wanted to play.
Students may follow a recreational path, build toward Certificate of Merit, prepare for auditions, or pursue advanced repertoire. Three studio recitals each year give practice a joyful purpose and make performing feel like part of belonging—not a test reserved for experts.

Piano lessons for children and adults
Piano study can start with a child’s first notes or an adult’s long-held wish to play. At our West San Jose studio, lessons connect reading, rhythm, listening and technique with music the student wants to learn.
Beginner piano lessons
Build comfortable hand position, note reading, steady rhythm and coordination one step at a time. Students learn how the music sounds as well as how it looks on the page.
Adult piano lessons
Begin from scratch or return after a break. Share the music you enjoy and your practice routine so lessons can build on your experience at a manageable pace.
Piano auditions and Certificate of Merit

Can beginners and adults start here?
Yes. Piano students can start from age five, and adults are welcome whether beginning or returning after a break. Lessons develop technique, reading, rhythm, listening, and expression at an appropriate level.
What do piano lessons cost?
Current monthly membership is $230 for a weekly 30-minute lesson, $320 for 45 minutes, or $400 for 60 minutes. Membership is based on 48 lessons per year divided into equal monthly payments. A $50 one-time registration fee applies unless waived by a promotion. See tuition, inclusions, and family benefits.
What happens at the complimentary trial?
Meet your teacher, discuss your goals, experience the teaching style, and receive a recommendation for the next step before committing. Choose a piano trial time, or ask about another day or time if the online schedule does not fit.
Can lessons support exams and performances?
Students can pursue recreational playing, Certificate of Merit preparation, auditions, or advanced repertoire. Three studio recitals each year provide opportunities to share progress. Explore our music theory and solfège program for related musicianship study.

Instrumental and vocal study combine listening, movement, attention, memory, reading, timing, and emotional expression. Research on music training suggests that sustained practice can be associated with measurable changes in auditory, motor, and cognitive development.
